About Games Lighthouse

Games Lighthouse answers one question: what should I play?

Steam releases thousands of games every year, and many have only a handful of reviews. Games Lighthouse helps you find them by how many people can play together, by titles similar to ones you already like, and by how long they take to finish. Each game page brings the Steam details, player reviews, playtime and similar games together.

Where the data comes from

  • IGDB.com (opens in a new tab): descriptions, ratings, hype, release dates, genres, player modes, languages, screenshots, related games and the time a game takes to finish. Time to finish is based on estimates from players, so it is an average and may not match your own pace.

  • Steam: tags, system requirements, prices, review counts and a sample of player reviews, the number of players right now and the developer's AI disclosure.

Prices are shown in US dollars and refreshed about once a month. They can differ from the price in your store.

About the AI disclosure

Steam asks developers to disclose AI-generated content that players can see. When a developer has written such a disclosure, the game page shows it as “developer disclosed AI use” and the search can hide those games. The text is the developer's own. A game without a disclosure has not been shown to be free of AI content: the disclosure is voluntary and a missing one proves nothing.

Review summaries

Where a game has a summary of player reviews, it is labelled as generated automatically from Steam reviews, with the date it was made.
